In handbill, a grain that moves on its own, gets crushed;
But the grain which stands close to the lever, is saved.
Likewise, every human being reels in this handbill of pleasure and pain;
Caught between the high and low, he is kicked around by every one.
But if such a person seeks refuge at the True Master's holy feet and does not look for any other
place;
Avtar says, such a person does not rot himself in the cycle of birth and death.

Meaning
A person who seeks the shelter of the True Master does not have to go through the cycle of birth and death.
In hand grinding mill, a grain that moves here and there on its own gets crushed;But the grain which stands very
close to the lever gets saved. In the same way, every human being reels in the cycle of pleasure and pain. He
is always caught in between the high and low and he is hit out by everyone. But if such a person tries to get
protection at the True Master's holy feet and does not seek for any other place, then he gets relieved from the
cycle of birth and death.
